Mrs. Meenal Srinivasan, ( Managing Trustee & CEO)
Meenal is a founder member of educo. She has an MBA in Finance from Clark University and is a BCom, ICWA Intermediate. Her vision is to share her privileged education to serve the community of Lalbaug. She believes that as the government has mandated under the RTE 2009, education is a right not a privilege. Quality education with accountability for the same is an important aspect of the endeavor.
She is inspired by the National Curriculum Framework 2005 and is working towards the school achieving the ideals in the guidelines. The NCF guidelines direct the school to child centric, active, participatory education which will create compassionate citizens for India of the 21st century.
Mr. Vibhakar Kelkar, (Consultant)
Vibhakar Kelkar founded the Saibaba Path MPS project and has been associated over the years in various capacities. His multifaceted expertise, networks in the government and passion for education of the underprivileged held the project in good stead over the years. Kelkar has been involved in engagement with the MCGM due to his educational expertise, training and mentoring staff due to his knowledge and guidance to management team due to his long years of non-profit organizations.
In the 90’s Kelkar worked in Plan International’s partnership program with Indian NGOs. As the Program Director CAS Plan project setting up a new municipal school in Bhandup. He was also involved in the 15 private schools in Bhandup, setting up female credit co-operative societies, various community developments in education and health initiatives. This created permanently improvement in the development indicators of the eastern suburb of Bhandup. He is a Science Graduate along with a Post Graduate in Economics.
Mr. Ram Mohan, (Pedagogy Director)
Ram Mohan brings a rich experience of more than 3 decades in education to educo. He has a long career in teacher training and assignments in the same. He has published books in science for the UNICEF. After a long and illustrious career in Royal University of Bhutan Prof. Mohan was Lead Trainer for Save the Children India for 3 years.
He has recently joined the educo family and feels by working in one school on the ground he can achieve empirical results of his work. His immediate task is teaching “skills and strategies” training and execution. As a result he is looking to move the learning indicators at Saibaba Path by a significant factor.
He is a deeply spiritual person and believes a calm environment in school is conducive not only to learning but for the emotional well being of the children as well. He has a BSc, B.Ed Honors and M.Ed.
Mrs. Nita Desai, (Principal)
Nita has 14 years experience as a Principal of an Affordable Private English medium school in Mulund. The school strived to work with children who had dropped out of other schools and ensure they passed the 10th grade. She has an M Sc (Bio Chemistry), B.Ed and DSM( Diploma in School Management).
She works closely with the MCGM authorities and due to her extensive experience and relations with MCGM she ensures all government systems are complied to. She also ensures timely reporting for MCGM administrative requirements.
Nita moved to Saibaba Path as she believes we set high standards of professional development. She also is in the second year of the Indian School Leadership Institute mentoring program.
Mrs. Pooja Ranade, (School Co coordinator)
Pooja’s role is to work in harmony with the Principal. She has an MSc and BEd, is passionate about science, she is also a science teacher for a few classes. Her core role is to ensure smooth, clear ad effective communication. In order to do this she plans, runs and writes up actions and follow up of staff meetings. She also co-ordinates our volunteers and corporate engagement activities in the school.
She has a flair for team building and has introduced a system of rewards and recognitions. She believes she has benefited by the professional development at educo and as second line of leadership she is also a part of the Indian School Leadership Institute mentoring program
